I guess Christmas miracles do happen! This year we were unaware of the school holiday release and expected to get Brandon’s son as scheduled. We had made plans for this past weekend, Friday we would all go out to Gatti Land and play arcade games with Brandon’s parents and his son, we would come home and sleep and Saturday when I got of work we would take Bryce to Santa Land to see the lights and displays and talk to Mr. Clause himself! Then we would come home and open his gifts from us and his Aunt Moo and uncle Thomas! Sunday would be a normal day and we would go to our family restaurant like we do every time we have Bryce and eat and then take him home after playing! Brandon and I were stoked until we were told the day of that we were not allowed to get him… Heartbreaking for the both of us.
Well Friday came and went with a horrible feeling in our house, I went to work Saturday like planned and around noon Brandon and his mom came to my store (I was in the back room with inventory) and I hear “MOMMMMM!” I turned around and saw little Bryce with a huge smile! I snatched him up in a big hug and kissed his tiny face! What a surprise!!! The greatest gift of all! After he left my store to go hang with Dad and Nana I cried tears of joy. Apparently there was a Christmas miracle and we were given Bryce for the weekend.
We were beyond happy, all of the plans we had told Bryce and planned out could still happen, and they did!
Santa Land was fun if you didn’t mind mud on your boots! Bryce enjoyed all the cut out cartoon characters and was in awe of the Cars and Peter Pan display. The line for Santa was long an he really wasn’t a good looking Santa to begin with. We skipped Santa and took him to the mall Santa instead on Sunday! We went to Lins with Aunt Moo and Uncle Thomas and after a great time eating sushi and smuggling cookies into Megan’s purse from the buffet we left to open gifts. Bryce out of all gifts fell in love with a small hand fan. He pretended to cut off our limbs and giggled the entire time running with that thing. Even at night in bed we saw him playing with that light up fan.
He did so good with Santa on Sunday, he ran up to him an have him a high five an sat on his lap. He was a little shy, but I don’t blame him haha. After Santa we ate lunch and took him back to Seminole where we had dinner and opened the rest of his gifts from TinTin, Nana and Pa.
It was a great weekend almost exactly how we planned! I can’t wait till next year when we have him on actual Christmas and don’t have to have a early Christmas and a Santa Christmas.
